Remorse Update Greetings and welcome to the new patch! Latest Custom Patch - We've received a lot of tickets recently concerning the new custom patches not working. The following guide includes new Dropbox download links to each patch since many of you were having trouble downloading the patches through Megaupload. Navigate to your Data folder, there will be a file labelled enUS or enGB/EN/EU depending on your client version. Step 2: After identifying the correct client version, download the required patch using the links provided. Update: Due to multiple reports of people having issue with the original client install, here are some additional download options. Note that there have been many reports lately that Blizzard does file copyright strikes with ISPs for people using torrents to download their older clients. There are a couple of different options to help with this, we recommend using either a cloud based torrent client such as or a VPN ( is a solid choice, they have a decent free tier also). 1) Get the WotLK Client (6.35GB) – You can find the original client full download on FilePlanet, a much safer alternative than using a torrent which could have been modified in some way. The client comes in a zip file, you can use a built in zip extractor or a third party program such as 7zip.

For example if you check our entry you’ll see that your realmlist.wtf file should be empty except for: set realmlist logon.warmane.com 4) Update the client to 3.3.5a – Now that you have the game installed and the client setup properly you need to update the client to the version that almost all private servers use. To update to 3.3.5a you will need to start with this page that lists all the patches that were made during WotLK and provides mirrors for you to download them.
