- This installs a plugin into your browser which lets you download and launch several popular programs from your web browser. The programs are sandboxed and do not require installation. A few programs include VLC, Notepad++, Picasa, and Irfanview. - This Firefox Add-on forces encrypted HTTPS connections to several popular websites such as Facebook and Google. You can add your own by writing simple XML definition files. You can also find several more definition files.

I decided to add this to the list after reading about the add-on. - In conjunction with HTTPS Everywhere, this Firefox Add-on adds a toolbar button which rates the quality of the SSL connection based on several factors. Some people may not like this because the toolbar button does not fit well with many themes.
