Cheers, Nils. I got these troubleshooting steps from online chat. My error message was Qt platform plugin 'windows' in'.

(STEP 1) For Windows 7 control panel-->appearence and personalization--->folder options--->views--->show all the hidden folders (Step 1) Press Windows and E at the same time. Then click on view-->options-->views in the small window Then select sho hidden folders and files and then, apply and ok, (Step 2) for 7, 8 10 Please access your 'C' drive. Program data-->origin-->delete everything except Local content. (Step 3) Please access your 'C' drive. Users-->Your user ID folder-->App data-->Local and delete the origin folder inside it (step 4) Please access your 'C' drive. Users-->Your user ID folder-->App data-->roaming and delete the origin folder inside it now please restart the PC I'm not sure what is meant by local content - if anyone could help me with that.
