Rama Seetha Ekkada, a new TV serial which began earlier this week on Zee Telugu, has ran into big trouble already. A day after the first episode was aired, scores of Bajrang Dal and VHP activists staged protest in front of the TV channel's office in Hyderabad and raised slogans against the show.

The protesters alleged that the name of the Tv serial has hurt their religious sentiments and they refused to budge for nearly three hours. Finally, the police officials from Saifabad area tried to pacify the protestors and in the end, the protesters agreed to leave after the TV channel officials agreed to change the name of the serial.

More details about the issue and whether the title of the serial is going to changed or not are yet to be divulged.

“That series was a game changer in a lot of ways. Back then, most TV serials were targeted at female audience and Yuva came like a breath of fresh air for everyone. It was funny and way ahead of its time. It did take some time for people to get used to the tone of the serial, but I feel all of us made a big difference back then,' says the actor. Ask him about the change TV serials have gone through over the years and he says, “I feel people’s taste has changed a lot. Nowadays, people watch plenty of dubbed serials, which are made on a lavish scale, and because of this, there’s lot more pressure on local TV channels and production houses to improve the quality of shows. Besides, TV channels are spending a lot on promoting their content, which is good.' The actor is currently basking in the glory of the buzz surrounding his latest serial, Rama Seetha, where he plays the role of a husband whose obsessive love for his wife comes in the way of the relationship. “I guess every actor dreams of doing a role like that.
